TY Week 22

Monday 9th - TY Admin

Kick start PDP1

Want to double check who would like to do this before I advertise it to the rest of the school community. It will cost 36 euro. Can be used to work in summer camps and good for any course involving young people.

Boys workshop on today again from 2-3.20

Girls dance and Drama tomorrow and Addams Family tomorrow night?

Any news on trips your subject teachers might be organised? Please let me know so we can organise dates.

Pop goes Primary- 700 euro raised

Brilliant work everyone who was involved in this. Great to see so many of you helping out. Lots of learning for everyone. Well done.

Lollipop Day - 930 euro raised to date

Few concerns regarding behaviour in class, too much chat in some classes and also complaint from street law that some people weren’t fully cooperating and on their phones. This is not acceptable. We get these funded programmes because we have a good reputation of having cooperative and mannerly students.

Reminder to everyone that TY should be inclusive to all. Please make sure everyone is included. This is all of your responsibility. No friends group should take over. We are all on this road together. We have had some great experiences and there are more to come. Please make sure everyone's opinions are heard and listened to. Also if you don't put yourself out there and volunteer for stuff don't be surprised if you then feel left behind. Keep your eyes open for that quiet student who may need a bit of your encouragement to get stuck in. Above all be kind to each other.

Sleep Out

How did this go? Please send me your photos

Galway trip

Unbelievably some people still haven’t paid and there are a number of permission slips outstanding. Please sort before Friday.

Build a Bank

25th March Wednesday. Please let your work experience know you won't be in. Can you check and see if you are ok to go without me.Hope you are all ready Please confirm if you need anything.

Tug O’War Training

Can I check if any of you are going to practice this with a PE teacher on a Friday so that we have a couple of half decent teams for the schools competition. Need names of students that are prepared to go to Dublin.
