TY News Bulletin 6

14-November-22

TY Admin - 14th November 2022

Are we all set for Thursday for the match? Final call for payment online today. 30 euro. Please ask your parents or guardians to fill in the permission slip also. We will be leaving at 8.30am sharp. Full PE uniform, half zip essential, dark bottoms and school coat. As we have a large group attending we will be expecting your best cooperation and behaviour. When we finish in DCU and arrive in town students will have free time to visit Trinity, shop and eat, approximately three hours. Please don’t wander off, stay with your friends group, mind each other and return promptly to the bus for our final trip out to the Aviva.

Can you please let your teacher know now if you are not intending going on the match trip.

Thank you to those who have completed the TY volunteering/Activities Log. Well done to the following students who have put themselves forward for all activities, volunteering opportunities and many more. Each term four students will be rewarded for their ''getting involved attitude'' this year in TY.

Well done to the four students below for their positive involvement this term. Come to the lab tomorrow at break-time to collect your reward:

Jennifer Ward

Ciara Sheridan

Fionn O'Riordan

Oisin Kerr

Those who have not participated in any activities we will be contacting home to make them aware. A text will be sent home at the end of this week for those students so if you have not completed the spreadsheet please do so now. It is your responsibility to complete this spreadsheet on a continuous basis. Next winners will be announced before Christmas.

Congratulations to Kayla McEleney on getting through to the next stage of the Rotary Club Leadership programme and congratulations to Caoimhe Lafferty on starting her Work Experience with the Houses of the Oireachtas next week also.

Well done to our seven students who started The Stagepass Programme this week, Ronan Mclaughlin, Jennifer Ward, Ora Barron, Kayla McEleney, Emily Bradley, David Wilson, & Caoimhe Lafferty. Next session Tuesday 15th 7-8pm.

Meeting for those who have expressed an interest in The TY newspaper tomorrow Tuesday 15th in Room 207 at 12.35pm

Reminder to make sure you are keeping your work experience diary up to date and have all your documents in for Ms McElhinney,

Can everyone continue to take good care of their chrome book. Leave it back in the proper place and plug it in to be charged. Do not throw it in the trolley for someone else to sort. It is a great facility to have your own chromebook available when you need to use it. Please appreciate this and look after them.

We need to be getting our teams ready for the November 30th Tug of war blitz. Have you got teams sorted? Please let me know if you won’t be able to get off work experience to attend on the day.

Continue to involve yourself fully in the programme. Grab every opportunity that comes your way. Keep working on your google site for your year end portfolio and re read the news bulletins so you can check out opportunities and competitions you may have missed.

The Law Library has offered us the opportunity to take part in an online certified course. It can only be accessed through one login. I'm not sure if it will be possible to complete it as we don't have available class time so I’m going to see if we can get through some of it during these classes on a Monday.

Let's try & start today

Email sent to teachers with login and password.

If it doesn’t work, make sure you have your TY journal dates up to date, work on your google site and work experience diary.
