FAI Coaching Courses for Donegal Based Clubs

These courses are available to clubs and may not take students. We normally organise them in school but couldn't this year with covid. There is a fee to do the course usually. The courses are useful for students who want to help out in their local club, Plan to go on to do a course in Sports or Primary teaching, Child care etc. Contact your local football club if you need help with getting a place.

PDP1, Sat 8th May, 10am. (online course). For coaches working with players U6/8/10.

PDP2, Sat 22nd May, 10am (online course). For coaches working with players U12/U14.

Please note these courses are private for Donegal only, and therefore are not on the online FAI system so participants need these links to sign up. This is to ensure only Donegal coaches can access these courses.

Work Experience

Your work experience finishes up on the 19th May so you need to give them the report to be filled in this week. We have thank you cards also for you to give them. I will leave them on the rack outside the rooms.

Ms Grant has agreed we can have one end of year trip in our form classes. We will try and make a day of it. Thinking about Monday/Tuesday of the last week. Depends on the weather and when your form teachers are free. Looking for your ideas. We have to keep covid in mind. I am waiting on Inish adventures to get back to me when they are putting out their inflatable. Maybe we could do that and then head to the beach or go to the cinema if it's open. I will take a look and see what money is left over from your fee and hopefully you won’t have anything to pay for it.

Email me your ideas.

All gaisce record sheets must be in by this Friday the 14th if you wish to get your award before you finish up. Please make sure they are signed by an appropriate person. You don't need to sign for the new skill as your IT teacher will sign for that ( if you have been keeping up with the work)

Leadership for Life

The absolute final deadline for getting this presentation finished is this Wednesday 12th. No delays as we have to get the certs sorted. Speaking of certs, make sure you get them all in to the google classroom file on certs asap.

John Paul 2 Awards

Please make sure you have your awards finished and in with Ms O'Connor before we finish up.

TY Portfolio

Please ensure you have your TY portfolio in for this Friday the 14th May at the latest. All the information regarding what to have completed is already sent to you in the google classroom. This is worth 50 credits and will affect your final grade.

IACT Courses

Your IT courses need to be complete by Thursday 20th of May in order for us to get the certs to you all.

Mr Leonard is hoping to start back sailing this week. If you put your name down please ensure that you don’t have any end of year assessments scheduled for that day.

Can I ask the team who entered the Create a Home competition and the student enterprise group who won most green business, to meet me outside the convent today at 3pm to get their photo taken. Is there any other group of TY that have successfully got through to a competition final that hasn’t had their photo taken?
