Competitions

I would like to see everyone getting involved in the competitions that come up for TY throughout the year. Details of these will be posted on our facebook and /or sent to the relevant teacher. If they send a poster it will be on the TY noticeboard in my room. Don’t be put off by thinking they are of a high standard. They are usually fairly easy to enter, can be entered as a group and often just involve using your phone to make a video. Make sure you friend the facebook page or you will miss out on a lot of what's going on

Under no circumstances should any student interfere with other students' online accounts. If you go on a computer and someone else is logged in please do the mannerly thing and log them out. You are invading someone's privacy. Under no circumstances send emails or messages from their account as this could lead to a ban from the IT room.

School Newspaper

In previous years a group of students would have put together a school newspaper or newsletter, maybe only every half term. I have some copies of previous papers. Topical articles, TY activities and students' pieces of work across all years would have been included.I am looking for a group of students or friends who have an interest in writing, english, or media to take this on. I will try and buddy you up with a teacher to help you. Please let me know if you would be interested. Regular articles for the local paper could also be part of the remit. Is anyone doing their work experience in a local newspaper?

Parental Communication

I have asked for their email address on the shared google sheet, can teachers please go through this now and add any new email addresses from the students.
