Work experience

I am hearing from some students or through the school that some of you are going to your work experience on Wednesdays. This may have been a decision made by yourself and your parents and with your employer but it is still not recommended by the school. Please complete the attached google sheet advising the school if you are on work experience on Wednesdays and where.

You must register and have this course started.

This is the link to register

Enter your name, your email address, and create a password.

After you have registered, students can login anytime on this link:

Please let your IT teacher know if you are having issues with registering or logging in.

Creative Wednesdays

For the girls

There is a festival this week for girls called the Shine festival which can be accessed at any stage of the week. We are going to use Wednesday for the girls to take a look at some of the speakers. I will send you on the link details in your email and put a post in the google classroom.

For the boys

You are going to work on the safe driving section of the IACT courses on Wednesday. I will post what i would like you to do in the google classroom.

Stitch in Time Project

This course starts today from 11.30am. I will ask Fran to mark out the students involved on vsware. Can everyone please pick up their wool from the school asap and be ready to do. Please let me know if you have no way of getting it. Tune in to the meet link even if you don’t have the wool just in case you want to ask questions. This first one will be recorded for those students who won't have the wool in time so you can follow it later. Remember it’s supposed to be fun so don’t worry if you don’t get the hang of it straight away. Take some pics for me.

Well done to all the students who got involved in the 24hr steps challenge yesterday. Let me know how many steps you did and send me some pics.

Leadership for Life

So the first certificate in this finishes with a recorded presentation on your smart goal. This also counts as your credit mark for session 2. Please get this into your teacher asap.

We will be starting the second part of the leadership course next week and as we don’t have the work books we will probably just send you the pictures of what you need to do. After a bit of research this second half is really a group project.

Looking into Law Programme

How are you enjoying this? Continues for three more weeks and certificate awarded at the end.

Subject Choice

Reminder subject choice is available on vsware. Please ask your TY teachers if you are unsure of what is involved in a subject.

As we're still under Level 5 restrictions, there will obviously not be any big celebrations happening on 17th March. However, we would love to have a virtual celebration of all the talent from around our parish, from the young and young at heart!

We're asking for who would like, to make a short video (max 2-3mins) of themselves (or someone else) singing, Irish dancing, Ceili dancing, playing an instrument, saying a poem or anything else that shows the spirit of St Patrick's Day, and we'll put them together in one big video. We would need the videos by Sunday 14th March at the latest in order to get everything edited and uploaded by St Patrick's Day. Please email videos to Máire at or via Whatsapp to 0867853726 ☘️☘️☘️

It's Mothers Day next Sunday… can’t say you forgot now!!

Do something nice for the Mum in your life...could be your mum, granny, aunt or a special lady in your life that looks out for you.

Doesn’t have to be a big gesture. Decorate a stone from the beach, pick some spring flowers, make them a cake, wash their car & clean it out for them, make them a card….you got the idea. NO excuses.
